A new species of Columnea and range extension in the Gesneriaceae from Costa Rica. Brittonia 57: 39–42. 2005.—Columnea lariensis is described and illustrated as a new species from the Talamanca Mountains, Costa Rica. It is similar to C. canarina from Panama. Alloplectus weirii is here reported for the first time from Mesoamerica and an illustration is provided.
